New Mexico is trying to Charge a Gas Station with selling gas to a drunk Driver.
The gas station issue along with gun manufacturers.
It falls under the good samaritan law. There is NO expectation for someone to save someone else from drowning in a lake.
Just as there is NO expectation for you as an individual or a private company to stop a bank robber. It is the job of the GOVERNMENT to police the citizens NOT private individuals NOR private companies.
This needs to go to the supreme court and get struck down hard.
If I suspect someone may be committing a crime, I call the police. Nothing more. If I try to stop someone about to commit a crime and they turn their attention towards me. My life is now in danger. That is NOT a reasonable expectation of the government.
