The Christian religion was spread much the same way democrats are trying to take power today.
The manipulation of words
Christians at the time were pushing that you, the ordinary person was equal to that of a ruler in the eyes of god.
That resonated with a lot of people back then because, up until that point. Rulers have always looked down upon common people saying that rulers where their betters
Today in America. Rulers are their equals. We vote for them and we remove them from office if we don’t like them. The playing field has been leveled so the statement that “We are all equal in the eyes of god doesn’t resonate as much”
What does resonate?
“It’s hard to succeed, help me succeed”
The democrats answer is “I will take money from those rich people over there and give it to you”
The republicans answer is “You have to work hard to succeed”
Neither of those answers really resonate with people.
Until someone finds a better answer, we are going to be locked into this battle.
